I think that having a huge memorial like the one for Crazy Horse would be a
great thing to have, though crazy. If I had the chance, I would build
a memorial of Beethoven.

I don't think Crazy Horse was crazy. I think maybe this sculptor is crazy. Blowing up a mountain? I thought the Indians revered their lands as they are, and were into keeping them in their natural state. This monument seems contrary to everything that he (Crazy Horse) stood for!

I loved your article on the Crazy Horse monument. I didn't realize just how massive this statue is going to be. It would be like a whole city block big! Or bigger! I wish I could see it in person. The statue seems to exude a "proud spirit" even in pictures.
Gee, if I were to make a statue it would be of Arnold Swarzenegger! Sweet!!!!! He's cute. Seroiusly, I guess I would want a statue to the first people who landed in America. My dad says it took guts to leave a familiar Old World behind, and start over in some new primeval place alone. They had to build houses and catch all their food and everything! There was no one here already except Indians.
Thanks for the article. World is the greatest. I am your biggest fan.

If I had the chance to build a memorial, it would be a tribute to my grandfather, the greatest hero of all time. It would be a library built in a very tall obelisk, much wider and taller than the Washington Monument. My grandfather is in his 90s and is a brilliant, honest, and good person. He has been a role model to me and countless others. I would like him to know how much I appreciate his encouragement and love.

I believe the bravery and leadership of other great Native Americans
should be honored as well. I would like to see more memorials to such
heroes as Geronimo of the Bedonkohe Apache, Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce,
Sitting Bull of the Hunkapa Sioux, Cochise of the Chiricahua Apache, and
Sequoyah of the Cherokee.
Im sure there are many other Native American heroes, both living and dead,
who deserve recognition.
